Bozeman Symphony Presents Free Summer Ensemble Concert in Virginia City
BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Bozeman Symphony invites the public to enjoy a free summer evening concert in historic Virginia City on Saturday, Aug. 9, at The Elling House Arts and Humanities Center, 404 E. Idaho St.
From 7 to 8:15 p.m., Symphony Principal Oboist Sandy Stimson and Principal Timpanist Jeff Vick will present a unique and engaging duet for oboe/English horn and percussion. This intimate chamber performance promises a dynamic blend of melody and rhythm, highlighting the artistry and versatility of two of the Symphony’s standout musicians.
This concert is part of the Symphony’s Far Afield outreach initiative, which for over 30 years has brought live classical music to rural and underserved communities throughout the Greater Yellowstone region. Through Far Afield, the Bozeman Symphony seeks to inspire, engage, and connect Montanans of all ages through the shared experience of live music.
