Inspiring the Next Generation of Music Lovers

For the first time, the Bozeman Symphony is excited to partner with Carnegie Hall and their Link Up program to bring a more interactive concert experience to students. Link Up The Orchestra Rocks, is a music education program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

Nearly 1,300 local students will attend a concert in mid-February 2026, at the Willson Auditorium, where they can sing and play the recorder with the orchestra from their seats. This experience often serves as a student’s first concert and provides them with the opportunity to apply the musical concepts they have studied in their classrooms.

For more than 30 years, the Bozeman Symphony has created concerts for area fourth graders to experience the magic of live symphonic music. The concerts offer an unforgettable introduction to the sights and sounds of a full symphony orchestra. They are designed to be both entertaining and educational, to spark curiosity, and ignite a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Presented in partnership with Bozeman Public Schools and area educators, these special performances align with a pivotal time in students’ musical journey—just as many begin considering which instruments to pursue in their school’s fifth-grade band or orchestra programs.
