Experience the magic of live symphonic music through our beloved Community Concerts, designed to delight audiences of all ages and spark a lifelong love of music. These fun, free performances are the perfect introduction to the orchestra for children and a joyful experience for parents and caregivers alike.

Each season, the Bozeman Symphony presents two Community Concerts that typically “sell out,” welcoming more than 2,000 people to enjoy music together. Especially suited for children ages 5-12, these engaging concerts feature storytelling, visuals, and interactive elements that bring classical music to life in an accessible and exciting way.

Past performances have included Peter and the Wolf with narratation by Oscar-nominated actress Glenn Close and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks’ Kevin Asselin, and a special guest appearance by internationally acclaimed musician Kishi Bashi.

Instrument Petting Zoo

Before each concert, young music lovers are invited to our Instrument Petting Zoo— a hands-on opportunity to explore the world of symphonic instruments. Children can see, touch, and try real orchestral instruments with help from our expert “zookeepers,” learning how they work and discovering which one they might want to play someday.
