A limited supply of masks will be available for patrons upon request. |
Hand Sanitizer Stations
Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout Willson Auditorium and can be found near entrances to the Auditorium. Air Ventilation (HVAC) System

Formalized COVID-19 protocols have been established for members of the orchestra and choir. These Protocols align with recommendations from the Gallatin County Health Department and CDC guidelines. Our goal is for the full orchestra to perform together while we can do so safely. |

Why isn’t the Bozeman Symphony requiring proof of vaccination to attend performances?
House Bill 702 (“HB 702”) was passed by the 2021 Montana Legislature and became effective when signed by Governor Gianforte on May 7, 2021. The law prohibits discrimination based on vaccination status or having an immunity passport.
Why isn’t the Bozeman Symphony requiring a negative Covid test of audience members to attend performances?
Requiring a negative Covid test of every audience member to attend is not possible for the administrative staff to monitor or enforce. Symphony orchestras across the country are doing proof of vaccination with the negative test as an alternative to those who are unable to show proof of vaccination. We are not able to offer that type of scenario with House Bill 702.
What protocols are in place for musician and chorus member safety?
Musicians and Chorus members are required to take a rapid test prior to the Monday and Wednesday rehearsals of a concert cycle. Masks are optional for musicians.
What protocols are in place for guest artists?
Guest artists are required to comply with the Society’s Covid-19 protocols in addition to proof of a negative COVID test prior to their first scheduled rehearsal with the orchestra and the Sunday performance.
Will there be social distancing at the performances? Will there be limits to the number of people attending?
Audiences will not be socially distanced and there will not be a reduction in audience capacity at this time. We understand the connection season subscribers have to their seats and want to continue to accommodate season subscription seating as long as we can do so safely. In order to accommodate social distancing, a reduction in audience capacity would occur. Should a reduction in audience capacity occur with or without social distancing, patrons will be notified.
