Volunteer

Without our extraordinary volunteer network, the Bozeman Symphony would not be able to provide the quality performances and events that we do.

We have over 150 volunteers working throughout the season as well as special events and ongiong office support. Our primary needs during the regular concert season are for the following positions:

Ushers are responsible for greeting patrons, checking tickets, escorting patrons to their seats, handing out programs, opening and closing doors for patrons and gathering programs after the concerts and helping out with concessions and CD sales as needed. Ushers are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Symphony.

Musician Treats Volunteers provide three dozen finger foods (cookies, veggie tray, crackers and cheese, etc.) for our musicians to enjoy at intermission. These treats are a welcome and much appreciated break for our musicians during the concert. Volunteers are invited to stay and enjoy the Symphony as well.

Concession and Tickets Volunteers sell tickets and concessions before the concert and/or help out with concession sales during intermission. Volunteers must be able to make change and work quickly, as pre-concert sales and intermission are only 15-20 minutes in length. Volunteers needed in the lobby during the concert are offered complimentary tickets to the alternate concert that weekend.

Our concert season schedule can be found online at http://www.bozemansymphony.org/concert-season/concert-calendar/. We prefer for volunteers to commit to either Saturday or Sunday for the entire season but are often looking for substitutes mid-season.

In addition to our concert season, the Symphony needs volunteers to provide clerical support in the office, distribute posters, provide dinner, babysitting or lodging for guest musicians and more. Do you have a talent that we haven’t mentioned, but think there’s a place to share it with the Symphony? Go ahead and let us know!
