This concert promises to be a LOT of fun! First, we’ll have some laughs with Mendelssohn’s comical overture to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, complete with fairies and various sundry mythological creatures. Next we welcome back, by popular demand, percussionist Joseph Gramley performing Michael Torke’s Rapture. Joseph’s debut with the Bozeman Symphony four years ago was such a triumphant success that we just had to have him back! Finally you’ll be enthralled with the exotic tales of Arabian Nights, set to music so brilliantly in Rimsky-Korsakov’s enchanting Scheherazade. Oh Bliss! Oh Rapture!

Mendelssohn ~ Midsummer Night’s Dream: Overture, op. 21
Torke ~ Rapture
Rimsky-Korsakov ~ Scheherazade, op. 35

Conductor Matthew Savery
