First we’ll present the world premier of James Stephenson’s Concertino and Fanfare for Orchestra, commissioned by the Bozeman Symphony to honor our 40th anniversary. Next, we’ll enjoy the playful exuberance of Paul Hindemith’s brightly orchestrated and charming Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes of Carl Maria von Weber. We conclude the day in spectacular fashion as we welcome back Bozeman favorite, Jon Nakamatsu, winner of the 10th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, performing Rachmaninov’s gargantuan Concerto no. 3.
